WSPS Hearing On Motion To Dismiss:
Friday, November 22, 2019, 11:00 a.m., at Pierce County Superior Court.
Westsound Support Services (WSS) appealed the Kitsap County zoning violation to Pierce County Superior Court. WSPS has a hearing scheduled on Friday, November 22nd for a motion to dismiss the case on procedural grounds as WSPS was not served notice of the WSS appeal filing. In the event the case is not dismissed, WSPS is requesting that we be granted a motion to intervene in this case. The court schedule begins at 11:00 am, although we do not know the actual time our motions will be heard.

DSHS Community Education Forum:
Tuesday, November 19, 2019 from 3:30-6:00 p.m. at the Poulsbo Library, 700 NE Lincoln Rd, Poulsbo, WA 98370.
Please join WSPS, and other concerned citizens, for the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services’ Community Education Forum on the release of civilly committed – sexually violent predators into local communities upon release from the Special Commitment Center on McNeil Island.

Come out and support Washington State for Public Safety as we raise money for our legal fund! We’ll have pints, plates, raffles and a silent auction with ALL proceeds going to stop the placement of sexually violent predators in residential neighborhoods.

Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office: Level III sex offender community notification meeting, Monday, October 21, 6:30 PM – 8 PM
Poulsbo City Council Chambers, 200 Moe Street, Poulsbo.
This is a community meeting to advise area residents of the residency status of a Level III registered sex offender. This person is due to be released from the Special Commitment Center on McNeil Island. He is returning to a residence in the 17000 block of Viking Way NW, Poulsbo.

Poulsbo City Council Members adopted an interim zoning ordinance to regulate High Risk Secure Facilities such as the facility on Viking Way for sexually violent predators (SVPs). Please join us in supporting the Council Members’ work on approving this ordinance at a public hearing during the City Council meeting. Your attendance is appreciated in our continued efforts to keep SVPs out of residential neighborhoods.
